Columbia, SC (June 25, 2021) – Wilson Kibler, a full-service commercial real estate firm headquartered in Columbia since 1987, is thrilled to announce plans to expand its property management division with the recent hiring of Colin Reisert. Reisert joins the firm as a property manager in the company’s Columbia office, where he plans to specialize in asset management and tenant relations.

Reisert comes to Wilson Kibler after working as a financial analyst for a national asset management firm in Washington, D.C. During that time, he developed a working knowledge of federal property real estate investments, working with the General Services Administration, and the fundamentals of property management.

Reisert earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of South Carolina.

McCarthy comes to Wilson Kibler from the technology sales sector. Prior to working in sales, he was a college soccer coach, most recently for the University of South Carolina Women’s soccer program.

McCarthy currently lives in Forest Acres with his wife, Christina, and two children, Mabry Reese and Talan Cross.

COLUMBIA, SC (Dec. 8, 2020) – Wilson Kibler senior associate John Metts recently received the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute. The designation was awarded during this year’s fall CCIM Comprehensive Exam testing session, which was held across 14 locations in the United States.

Metts was among the 133 commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the CCIM Institute’s comprehensive examination, the capstone element in the designation process. This new group of CCIM designees hails from 37 U.S. states, as well as Canada.

“These new CCIM designees are the personification of perseverance, discipline, and drive,” says Eddie D. COLUMBIA, S.C. (Dec. 8, 2020) – East Bay Deli, known for its New York-style deli offerings, announced today it is opening a new location in Parkland Plaza at the corner of Knox Abbott Drive and State Street in Cayce. East Bay Deli is known for its sandwiches, wraps, soups, spuds, salads (including a popular fresh salad bar), and scrumptious desserts. The Cayce location will offer delivery, catering, curbside pickup and outdoor dining.

East Bay Deli opened its first restaurant in Charleston in 2001 and now has 10 locations across the state. Construction of the Cayce location is set to begin in January and expected to be fully operating by May. Wilson Kibler industrial specialist George McCutchen, CCIM, SIOR, represented Nuttall Tire in the recent purchase of the former Dick Dyer Toyota dealership at 3215 Two Notch Rd. Owner Stephan Nuttall says increased demand led to a need for more space.

Nuttall Tire will be relocating from its longtime facility at 2405 Millwood Ave. near downtown. The move is expected to be completed by the end of the year. According to McCutchen, “Nuttall enjoys a great reputation of taking care of their customers’ whole cars – not just tires. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I can understand why people trust the Nuttall team to get their families safely from point A to Point B.”

Wilson Kibler retail specialist John Mills recently leased the 35,000-square-foot anchor space,f formerly Hobby Lobby, in East Forest Plaza to Crazy Cazboys. Crazy Cazboys is a discount retailer with a unique closeout concept.  According to the company’s website, prices are determined by the day of the week with new products arriving each Thursday that are subsequently discounted each day thereafter. Crazy Cazboys currently has locations in Alabama and Florida, and the East Forest Plaza store is its first in S.C.  The store is set to open in early November.

Wilson Kibler’s industrial specialist George McCutchen represented Perlon – The Filament Company in the recent lease of ±23,636 square feet at 3430 Platt Springs Rd. in West Columbia. According to a recent press release from Perlon, the company is expanding its spool cleaning department to the Platt Springs Road facility due to the company’s rapid growth in the United States.

Columbia, S.C. (September 1, 2020) – H. Haskell Kibler, CPM, CCIM of Wilson Kibler was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute, one of the leading commercial real estate associations in the world, last month in Charleston, S.C.

Kibler earned the designation by passing the CCIM Comprehensive Examination, the final component in the designation process. According to CCIM Institute, fewer than 10 percent of commercial real estate investors and advisers hold the designation. Kibler also holds the LEED Green Associate designation, which he received in 2011 after demonstrating knowledge of environmentally conscious building practices and standards. He also holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM) credential from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), which he earned in 2015.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying experience. The curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis, the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate.
