Walt Robinson, an associate in Wilson Kibler’s Upstate office, recently received the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute, one of the world’s leading commercial real estate associations. Robinson specializes in industrial leasing and sales, as well as investment sales working with buyers, sellers, tenants, and landlords across the Upstate and South Carolina.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successfully completing a graduate-level curriculum and presenting a portfolio of qualifying experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis. Robinson is one of eight current Wilson Kibler associates with the CCIM designation.

Robinson earned the designation by passing the CCIM Comprehensive Examination, the final component in the designation process. According to CCIM Institute, fewer than 10 percent of commercial real estate investors and advisers hold the designation.

Wilson Kibler Greenville brokers sale of 100 Exchange Logistics Park Dr. in Anderson County

Wilson Kibler Greenville brokered the recent sale of 100 Exchange Logistics Park Dr. in Piedmont, SC. The ±289,000-square-foot Class A Industrial spec facility closed in March and was acquired by STAG Industrial, Inc. (NYSE: STAG), a real estate investment trust focused on the acquisition and operation of industrial properties throughout the United States.

“The Upstate industrial market continues to be extraordinarily strong. This project is an example of how developers, users and investors all see our region and Anderson County as a place to invest,” said Wilson Kibler’s lead industrial specialist, Givens Stewart, SIOR, who oversaw both the leasing and sale of the property.

Occupancy was around 80% at the time the property was acquired. STAG Industrial has retained Stewart and Wilson Kibler to lease the remaining ±64,424 square feet. Wilson Kibler managing partner obtains prestigious MCR designation

Wilson Kibler announced today, Edward Wilson, CCIM, MCR, a managing partner in the company’s Greenville office, now holds the prestigious Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation awarded by CoreNet Global.


CoreNet Global’s MCR is one of commercial real estate’s most esteemed designations. It was established in 1982 as a comprehensive career development program that helps teach skills focused on critical business issues and the mission of the corporate real estate organization in relation to corporate goals.


The curriculum includes workplace strategies, enterprise alignment, corporate real estate finance, among other courses. CoreNet designed the program to help both corporate real estate teams and external service providers maximize the use of real estate to meet a corporation’s requirements by integrating portfolio strategies, flexible planning, and other considerations.

Professional Background

Robert Carter began his commercial real estate career at Newmark Wilson Kibler in 2009, gaining sales and leasing experience in the office, industrial and REO sectors. He returned to the firm in 2018 to focus on office leasing and sales. In the interim, Mr. Carter obtained his Master of Business Administration degree in 2016. He then served as an associate at RealOp Investments in Greenville, South Carolina, where he underwrote more than $100 million of Southeastern office and industrial properties. An avid real estate investor, Mr. Carter also manages a portfolio of income-producing cropland in the Midwest.

Education

Mr. Carter earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Carolina. He also attended Duke University.
